About our Music Room
Our Music Room is situated in our ‘Big House’ and is therefore available to a composer or musician residing with us as a full board artist. The room houses a grand piano which is kept at concert pitch, along with a harpsichord. The Music Room is situated at the back of the Big House, overlooking the orchard and the garden to the west. Well lit, centrally heated, and with plenty of room to spread out, there is room for as many instruments as our musicians and composers want to bring along for their stay. The focus of the Music Room is a wonderful painting by Mick Cullen RHA (1946-2020), who made the work while resident at the Centre in the 1980s.
